Renwick Gallery: Wonder

Living in city full of politics and culture, I often feel that I don't take advantage of all that DC has to offer. As a Georgetown student, it gets increasingly difficult to keep with the demands of school and extracurriculars while leaving the hilltop. However, whenever I do leave campus and explore the city, I get a glimpse of all the magic this city has to offer. I come back with a newfound sense of wonder...

Bubblegum Finds: Forget About It Supper Club

When: Dinner only. Tues - Sun 5:00 pm to 1:00 am
Where: 325 King Street West (King st. and John st.)
Why: I've been eating my way through king street and I've been meaning to find a few restaurants that are fancy without ridiculous prices. This place looked great and the menu prices weren't bad at all!

Travel Guides: Ann Arbor, MI

Moving can be one of the hardest experiences of your life. In between the goodbyes and the breaking of emotional ties, there are also the countless errands and the dreaded packing. For me and my sister, unfortunately, this has become a norm. On the bright side, moving has also allowed us to experience some of the best places in the world. So instead of dwelling on the half empty side of things, we've decided to make the most of it and create a new segment: travel guide.
The first year of college is always crazy. It's the first time a baby bird flies out of the coop and gets to learn how to live independently. For me, I had a great place to surround myself with some of the best people. So for the first post for the newest segment, I wanted to share a place that will always be close to my heart: Ann Arbor.

Where: 83 Chang Shu Lu (Near Julu Lu), 4th Floor 常熟路(靠近巨鹿路)八十三号,四楼
Why: As a CBC (Canadian born Chinese) one of the things I miss the most from Toronto is American style Chinese food - the good, greasy, salty and sweet delicious and incredibly unhealthy food that I crave. This place serves exactly what I need, nuff said.

10 Things I Hate About Shanghai

First off, before people start getting defensive, I love this city. I have lived here for 5 years but just like any long term relationship, resentment will bubble up and sometimes you got to let it out. What can I say? Shanghai, you have your issues.

Wanderlust in the Summer

We all get it; that sudden urge to drop everything and travel across the globe to meet people you can only imagine and to live in places you have only dreamed about. For some, work or family gets in the way. For others, we don't have the capital to spend on such frivolous things. However, for the lucky few, that get their summer vacations or have the means to achieve this, embrace it!
Go meet people you can only imagine! Go somewhere you have only dreamed about!

For those lucky few, I say live in the moment!
Zhangye Danxia Landform, China
Lavender Fields, France
Mount Roraima, Venezuela
Tunnel of Love, Ukraine
Bonn, Germany
Great Rice Terraces, China
Black Forest, Germany
Aescher, Switzerland
Chefchaouen, Morocco
Huacachina, Peruvian Desert
Mount Ai-Petry, Ukraine
For those that can, go visit the places I can only dream about (for now...) and be the explorers I know you guys can be!
Love,
Angella
