Obsession: Kiss Me Organics' Organic Matcha

Hello my fab darlings, it's time for a new segment we like to call "obsessions". The idea is very simple, we like stuff and we share it with you guys cuz we love you guys~

Here it goes...

Lately, I've been really into organic food and trying to make whatever I can out of my mini fridge and the community microwave (yes, I am too lazy to walk down to the dining hall). Thus, when the opportunity came for me to try out Kiss Me Organic's Organic Matcha, well I am all about the free food (but don't worry, my opinions come from the stomach/heart well they're basically the same thing, right?)

Usually, you are suppose to use the organic matcha as an ingredient while you are making a smoothie or some baked goods, but seeing as how I live in the dorms, I decided to just boil some hot water and make use of it the old fashion way, as tea.

Here's what my stomach/heart thought:

Well this wasn't what my stomach thought but the service was delightful. Not only did the package arrive like the speed of light, the company actually personally emailed me a pdf of recipes that you can make with the green tea powder. You will definitely get your money's worth with all the health benefits that this green tea powder provides. As it is widely known, green tea is great for your health. It can boost you metabolism while giving you an energy kick and it's perfect for the cold Michigan weather I am currently trenching under. This powder, I don't know why, but is like super green tea. It says and I quote, "Up to 173X the EGCG of brewed green tea". Now, I'm no nutritionist but that sounds pretty healthy.

Also, this powder is non-gmo, USDA stamped organic, vegan, and all the lovely things we like to hear nowadays.

Unfortunately there is a few downsides to this product. The product does not have the normal nutritional table that most products do and while it does have the ingredient list (which is literally just organic matcha), it does not show me calories, etc. Also, this was probably my fault but while it says it is green tea powder, DO NOT BOIL WATER AND ADD POWDER AND THINK IT WILL TASTE GOOD. I guess because it is super green tea, it is also super bitter and maybe there wasn't enough powder to water ratio but it tasted awful.

Overall, if you have a kitchen and you you want to be healthy then get this product because it is for you!

Here's where you can buy it: in the U.S., in the U.K., in my hometown (Canada)
