It's the 40th Anniversary of TIFF baby

I know this post is late and TIFF is now pretty much over but as a Torontoian girl this was the time to get down before winter hits. Due to all these huge things happening, this post got away from me.

TIFF 40th Anniversary

Back to Backpack

School has started and it's quite the time to shop. Whether it's for the first day outfit or for some stationary, it's always a blast to shop. Today, we decided to delve into the world of backpacks. Below we have chosen some of our favorite backpacks, for every style.

Imported Goodies: Chelsea Boots

As we bid our freedom and our summers good bye, I think it's a good reminder to still look dashing. In preparation for the long cold winter (WINTER IS COMING), it is time to look for some cute booties. This season, I predict a comeback of chelsea boots (and yes, if you buy me a pair I will love you forever).

I'm on a boat and...

It's been a tough few weeks for me and my friends. Honestly more high tides than we expected and though there were moments when we thought we were going to down but we managed.

I know that's a lot of ocean and boats talk. Its because this weekend I'm going on a boat! I am more than expected! As we speak, I am sailing through the Ontario waters!

Decor Suggestions: Singing in the .... shower?

Hello Friends :)

I've officially moved back! Now its home decor magazines all the way! (is this what it feels like to get engaged? then I am more than excited!)

What makes a house livable is obviously the big furniture, the important appliances but what makes a home home is definitely in the details. Even the plates or cups you choose to buy. Or what painting to go up on the walls. It's the little things. And those are exactly the things that make me most excited about!!

RAINBOW NAILS

The other day, my friend and I went to get our manicures done.
Every time I go, I look and discuss with my friends regarding what color to get.
and every single time I always go with my class pink.
I just don't like the uncertainty.
But my friend she went for yellow. yes bright egg-yolk yellow.
She then went on to be teased and laughed at by all our friends for the following weeks.
But it got me thinking. Why am i not more adventurous.
I should be.

DECOR SUGGESTIONS: GALLERY ART

Hello Lovely Darlings,
A simple touch of class and art
to make you new home that much more elegant.
I personally don't have money for works from Monet or Picasso
But some cute gallery art can definitely spice up a living room!

50 shades of grey!

Its a countdown to the two things.
1. Valentine's Day
2. Fifty Shades of Grey

and I don't know which one I am more excited for!

Decor Suggestions: Good Morning, Beautiful

Hello friends of the blogosphere,

As I've proclaimed so loudly, I'm moving back to TORONTO!
Its gonna be a journey and because I'll be moving away from my family, I'll be really hitting the road to adulthood with my own apartment.

This got me super inspired.
I'm sure lots of us are out there trying to build the most gorgeous apartments with our starter salaries, so I thought it would be fun to see some small adjustments you can make to build the Charlotte (from sex and the city's) apartment.

Imported Goodies: the much expected Valentines Day Edition

And... we're back!
Feb is mostly known for Valentines Day (duh!)
but this year it's actually incredibly close to Chinese New Year as well!
But for our imported goodies, we wanted to express our love for the idea of love...
And those who don't know the reference, please please listen to the song below:

Dress like a star

I've heard so many times why people love to read blogs

Time for some inspiration

Imported Goodies: School Ready

Ready for school and Ready to make some new friends!

Imported Goodies: Summer Beauty Must-Haves

This summer, we are loving Marc Jacobs' Daisy for its fresh scent, red lipsticks to bring a pop of color to our outfits, and the Naked 3 Palette for its neutral but gorgeous colors. We are also loving Essie's pastel colors because they match with everything and Benefit's They're Real eyeliner because DANG! the blogosophere wasn't kidding and did not exaggerate it's awesomeness. Some other summer must-haves includes cute polka dot hairbands to tie the hair back but also bring back a 60's vibe & some false eyelashes for a fabulous night out.

Beachin' (What's in My Beach Bag)

Is it me or does it feel like time is just passing by? Sometimes I feel like the day will never end and other times it feels like there's not enough hours in the day. In the summer, days are definitely too short (even though I'm pretty sure scientifically, the sun is out longer). Anyways, it's already the end of July and we've realized that we haven't even put out a beach post and that's just a crime. So no further ado, we present our newest blog post...

Beachin' (What's in My Beach Bag)

And The Winner Is...

For those of you who have been living under a rock,
yesterday was the finale to the FIFA World Cup 2014 Brazil.
With the gut-wrenching last minute goal, Germany was able to win this year's title.
Whether you are supporting Germany or Brazil or Argentina or another country, we think that any event is a time to dress up and deck out. Here's a collection of things we love/need/want in winning colors ;-)
So go out and celebrate (or not) and have a pint on us (just kidding).

Trend Under $150: Kimonos

Summer time is here! With summer comes crop tops, short shorts, and cutout dresses. However, while baring some skin does make an outfit cute, we also want to keep it classy and tasteful and hide some skin too. Under the hot heat, there is really only one option for cover up: kimonos. With their silky, light material, it is the perfect cardigan for an outfit. Furthermore, there are so many options and so many pairings available for the newest trend!

For the ultimate summer look, get this Liquorish Long Kimono on Digital Bird Print and pair it with some cute shorts, a crop top, a wide brim hat, and some sandals. This will allow some cover up while also giving some pattern and texture to the look.

For a more flirty romantic look, get this Canyon Fringe Kimono and pair it with some hard, contrasting accessories (silver necklace, black fringe purse, and studded heel sandals) to balance the outfit.
If you're more into the boho style, I suggest this Jenelle Gypsy Tassled Kimono in Orange. With the vibrant pattern and the black fringes, I would suggest a simpler crop top and shorts.
With all the fringes and laces shown above, it is sometimes better to have a simple kimono such as this O' Neill Rianna Kimono which allows for a more complex top and even knee boots.
Lastly, for a more sophisticated look, pair this Branda Floral Kimono in Black with a tight simple top and some stressed boyfriend jeans. Keep the accessories simple to pull the look together and focus the kimono. Another great thing about kimonos is its ability to passover to early fall.

With thousands of ways to style the kimono, this is our new favorite summer trend! What do you think? Which one was your favorite outfit? Comment down below to let us know!
Love,

Summer Needs for the Working Girl

Hey guys!
What time it is? SUMMER TIME! (please pardon my cheesy HSM reference) Anyways, as a huge fan of summer, I think it's important to bring a pop of color to wherever you go (especially those professional settings). In hopes that this can inspire you, we've decided to produce a set of clothes, bags, and accessories that showcase bright summer colors that can definitely bring a little life to your outfits.
